First OperaSoc rehearsal of the year – I promise I wasn’t hugely over excited. Ok, maybe a little.

Long time, no post! Getting myself organised to do everything I need and want to do before I head across the pond is taking up more of my time than I anticipated at the moment, so I am running a bit behind. About 10 days ago I took part in an opera in a weekend, organised by LUU OperaSoc. We rehearsed for two and a half days, starting on Friday morning, for a performance late on Sunday afternoon. It was utterly intense, incredibly hard work, tiring, and definitely, absolutely, entirely worth it! I’m so glad I took part, especially as I will be missing the operalove next year. Thank you to the fabulous cast, orchestra and directors who made it happen xx
This is definitely a bitter-sweet moment: I’ve enjoyed this show so much and I’m really sad this is the last night I get to perform it, especially as I will be sans-OperaSoc next year. However, I’ve had so much fun and next year will be such an adventure! Three outfits today: 1 for lunch with my boyfriend and parents, 1 for the show and 1 for the after-show party xx
Tonight my parents are here to watch the show, so I am super excited. Also, I am a little spruced up from my usual show-week self! We’re practically sold out for tomorrow night – AMAZING! I hope you’ve already seen it if you’re Leeds-based, but if not you might just nab a ticket if you are really nice to our production team…xx
2 out of four shows done, I’m starting to feel sad that it’s so nearly over already! xx

I’m utterly exhausted, so to give myself a little boost I broke out my space boots today! xx
